They call it frokost. It's big.

This koldtbord-style breakfast included bacon and eggs, roast potatoes, scrambled eggs, chicken sausage, cooked and cold cereal, yogurt, fruit, assorted raw nuts sweetened with honey, chocolate-filled pastries, cookies, boiled eggs, fruit juice, coffee, tea, a selection of jams and marmelades, a selection of different kinds of bread and rolls, flatbread, pancakes, brown cheese, swiss cheese, liver paste, smoked salmon, pickled herring, tomato herring, whipped beet salad, egg salad, bean soup, a half-dozen different varieties of cold cut, and several things, probably of foreign origin, that I couldn't identify, along with various kinds of condiments and accessories, as well as a few items that escape memory.
I particularly enjoyed the tomato herring and the whipped beet salad.

  1. No. But cod roe (鱈子) is a popular food. However, they didn't serve it at this particular koldtbord.
